Administration - Chief

Ms. Jamie Jyles is a 2004 graduate of Greenwood High School.  She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Mississippi Valley State University, where she marched with the Mean Green Marching Machine and was afforded the opportunity to intern with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) in the Houston, TX field office.  Ms. Jyles also received her Master of Art in Teaching degree from Mississippi Valley State University in 2013, and her Specialist in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University in 2015. 

 

Ms. Jyles began her career in education as a kindergarten teacher at Threadgill Elementary School in August of 2010.  The following year, she became the Business Management and Fundamentals teacher at the Career and Technical Center.  After six years at the Career and Technical Center, Ms. Jyles taught STEM at Greenwood High School. 

 

Ms. Jamie Jyles began her career in school leadership during the consolidation of the Greenwood Public and Leflore County School Districts.  In the Greenwood-Leflore Consolidated School District, she served as assistant principal of Threadgill Elementary School, and Leflore County Elementary School until she was promoted to Chief of the GLCSD Career and Technical Center January of 2021.

 

It is the goal of Ms. Jyles to revitalize the Career and Technical Center and to offer programs that are not only hand-on but that will also prepare the scholars of Leflore County for the competitive workforce.
